Hello!
Welcome to Wednesday Wishes.
The Cultural Wednesday family are currently on the road. Teen Two has returned to University in York. Teen One and I have been up to County Durham as guests of Durham 2025 to see why the county is shortlisted for UK City of Culture 2025. At some point Mr CW will join us in York to celebrate the teens birthday and then it is down to Cornwall to deliver Teen One for his new term.
Cultural Wednesday Wishes this week features Breaking the News, how and why news stories get told at the British Library, Magnificent Maps of London, whodunnit at the the Dulwich Picture Gallery and Duff Cooper and Operation Mincemeat.
Back in February 2020 I started to pull together a blog post about lates at London Museums. It soon became apparent that nobody would be going to museums let alone late at night anytime soon and so the post was mothballed. Now museums are beginning to announce the return of late night opening and special events, so I’ve redone the research and pressed publish! Take a look where do you fancy spending an evening?
Happy Culturing
