Hello!
Welcome to Wednesday Wishes.
This week is Frieze week in London and that means flurry of artistic excitement. Gaia, Luke Jerram’s giant earth installation is on show at Southwark Cathedral. Christies and Sothebys both have lots of enticing things to see and maybe buy. Two of my favourite houses to visit Leighton House and Sambourne have reopened after long restorations and I’ve discovered the Cosmic House, which is amazing. The Science Museum is celebrating Science Fiction and the British Museum is deciphering Heiroglyphs. Deep down in the basement under 180 Strand strange lifeforms and Amazonian destruction are one show. So much to see!
Mr CW and I made a last minute decision to join friends picking grapes at the Chet Valley Vineyard at the weekend. Usually I stay with my family when in Norfolk but this time stayed at the Vine House looking out onto the vineyard. We had an excellent time, if you happen to be in Norfolk the Chet Valley Vineyard is an excellent place to tour and taste wines and one of the places in my guide to Norfolk of the beaten track.
Happy Culturing
