Hello
Welcome to Wednesday Wishes. Well, sort of Easter Wishes, this week as this I’m going to take some family time and there will be no new SubStack next week.
This Easter fortnight chocolate at the Painted Hall in Greenwich, the Duke of Wellington’s dress uniforms at Apsley House, Enzo Mari and the Design Museum, Jason Welsher-Mills at the Wellcome Collection and a slim volume about the Royal Academy are my wishes.
A couple of London ticket alerts.
First: Tickets go on sale today for a concert/event/performance (I’m not sure of the right word) featuring Professor Brian Cox and conductor Daniel Harding at the Royal Opera House. Science, music and the melding of the two will be looked at again the background of Britten’s Symphonic Horizons.
Second: Last chance to see, well last chance for at least a year. The Banqueting House on Whitehall has only been open intermittently since Covid in June it closes for a year for a complete overhaul. Tickets are now on sale for the last day of public opening May 19th. Quick click over to the Historic Royal Palaces NOW and hope that tickets are still available.
Happy Culturing
Catherine
