Hello
Last week I caught the train down to Cornwall to see Cultural Young Man One. I was staying at the top of a very steep hill, after my first ascent I had to lie down but at the end of my stay I think that finally my post Covid tiredness was vanquished. Back in London the Cult of Beauty at the Wellcome Collection takes a look at the ends we will go to look beautiful and over the road at the British Library all things fantasy (well novels and alternate worlds) are on show in Fantasy Realms of the Imagination. Everything you ever wanted to know about Burma to Myanmar at the British Library. Meanwhile David Hockney makes a post covid comeback at the National Portrait Gallery.
Yes I know that it is only just November but Christmas is nearer than you think. Oxford Street turns on its Christmas lights on November 2 and all others will be twinkling within a couple of weeks. Plan where to see to the Christmas lights with my handy guide including the best bus route.
Autumn jaunts into the countryside are far more on my mind than lights at the moment. I always enjoy a jaunt to Chichester, it has an excellent Cathedral and wonderful Pallant House gallery. John Craxton: A Modern Odyssey has just opened at Pallant House which I am keen to see.
Happy Culturing
Catherine
