Hello!
Welcome to Wednesday Wishes.
Imaginary people, supermodels, felt cakes and holy places all feature in Wednesday Wishes this week. That translates as Lynette Yiadom-Boakye at Tate Britian, architectural models at Kings Cross, Felt “R” Us from Lucy Sparrow at the Brunswick Centre and my favourite guide book of the year. Yesterday I spent the day touristing at the Tower of London. I haven’t visited the Tower proper since the teens were tweens. Now is a really good time to visit as overseas tourist numbers are low and schools are not on holiday. We arrived at 9am when the Tower opens and virtually had the Crown Jewels to ourselves. By the time we left nearly four hours later it was a bit more crowded but nothing like summer levels. My favourite bit of the Tower, apart from the sparkly, history filled jewels, is the medieval palace you can imagine the rooms full of life. Back in the day we used to make the most of our Historic Royal Palaces membership and pop in often … it would make a really good Christmas present.
Happy Culturing
