Hello!
Welcome to Wednesday Wishes.
This week a proper good old fashioned blockbuster. Raphael sumptuous, stunning and unmissable at the National Gallery. Celebrating the art and design of football at the Design Museum, the words and pictures of the Pickwick Papers at the Dickens Museum and a quick jaunt up to Norwich to see some Female Scottish Artists.
My love affair with museum cafés started at the Sainsbury Centre. It is always a joy to return both to the cafe and the gallery. If you have never ventured to the fine city of Norwich or the Sainsbury Centre take a look at my post to be more than a little bit tempted to book a mini break to East Anglia.
Each and every blog post that I write seems perfect in the moment that press publish but things move on. Bath is still just as stunning as when I first wrote about her but since then Bridgerton has happened so I’ve updated my Cultural Things to Do in Bath to reflect all things Bridgerton as well as all the Roman and Jane Austen things that were always there.
Finally some exciting news from the world of London museums. The Bank of England museum has reopened for the first time since March 2020. Admission is free to this really interesting small museum to be found round the back of the Bank of England. Most thrillingly of all you can pick up a gold bar from the nations gold reserves.
Happy Culturing
Catherine
