Hello
Welcome to Wednesday Wishes. Now that January is in its stride my inbox is crammed with new and upcoming exhibitions. This week in Wednesday Wishes there is Alice Irwin and Sinta Tantra at Pitzhanger Manor, Cute at Somerset House, The Glass Heart at Two Temple Place and a light festival at Battersea Power Station. Whilst sat on trains this week I have been weeping whilst reading Always and Forever by Rose Tremain.
Gabrielle Chanel. Fashion Manifesto at the V&A sold out even before the exhibition opened. Now the V&A have announced that the exhibitions run is to be extended and tickets go on sale TODAY. Quick click here to book tickets at the V&A. If you miss out, then you can still see the show if you are a member of the V&A.
Fashion City at the Museum of London Docklands is one of my favourite shows on in London at the moment. On February 15 the museum is having a special Fashion themed late with music, talks, curator tours and head gear making workshops. Tickets cost £20 and need to be booked in advance. If fashion is not your thing check out my guide to London Museum Lates to see what takes your fancy.
One of my New Year’s Resolutions is that I will give some of my oldest blog posts much needed updates and a general dusting down. First on my list was a post that was originally called Two Hours in Bratislava because that is how long we spent in Slovakia’s capital whilst we cycling down the Danube. Any way we liked Bratislava and decided to return this summer on a day trip from Vienna. Here is the the newly refurbished post now called One Day in Bratislava. Have you been to Bratislava? Or do you fancy adding it to your list?
Happy Culturing
Catherine
