Hello!
Welcome to Wednesday Wishes.
Germany, Sussex and the 18th century all feature in this week’s Wednesday Wishes. Pipe smoking women, men in dresses and baby twins can all be seen in Making Modernism at the Royal Academy. You can experience the sounds and smells of what it would have been like on board HMS Victory during the Battle of Trafalgar in Greenwich and for respite head out of town for the balm of Sussex Landscapes.
A couple of things to plan ahead for.Jimi Hendrix would have been 80 this year. To celebrate Handel & Hendrix in London are putting on a concert. An Electric Church will take place in the Old St Pancras Church on November 30th. Tickets cost £15 and be booked via the Handel & Hendrix in London website.
Over in Greenwich. Luke Jerram’s Museum of the Moon is coming to the Painted Hall at the Old Royal Naval College in December. I saw his Gaia there and it was magnificent. Tickets are selling fast, so if you want to wander in awe both at the Painted Hall and the Museum of the Moon book now.
Happy Culturing
